So as a few of you may know, I work part time at a model agency as a photographer. Last week one of our models had to cancel her shoot, and since we were already set, then we thought why not photograph eachother, as a project?
It was fun. Strange, but fun. I’m much more comfortable behind the camera than in front although I must admit it did feel good, in a way. It was like a self confidence exercise.
I’m no model, don’t have the required measurements but I don’t really want to either.
I’m me. I’m a little bit woggly. One arm is bigger than the other and my thighs dance when I walk.
But that’s okay.
I am who I want to be.
So as you might have noticed, I’ve been collecting old captures from my past. Photos, that is. And it’s been lovely, taking a trip down memory lane as it has been heartbreaking. Heartbreaking because you see the faces of people who you no longer can see. The only way to see them again is by looking at these photos or you drown in your memories and dreams in your head.
And it’s been lovely, because you remember the memories you spent with these persons. Or you see a photo of a newborn baby and this baby has now become a girl and a big sister.
After my graduation I moved back to Spain and then my sister was also here for 6 months. We went almost every day to this café, drink coffee and read Vogue, poetry or just talk about nothing and everything.
Ida min Ida.
The laughter, the pain, the drunken nights, the love.
